Local Address Initiative

Cal Poly Students - help ensure the safety and well-being of our community by updating your local address today. This allows the university to communicate with you in the event of a fire, medical emergency or active crisis. 

Please update your Current Physical Residence (this is your local address), located in the "Personal Info" tab in your Cal Poly Portal today. Be sure to do this each time you move. Your personal information will remain strictly confidential and will only be accessed in the case of an emergency by the Office of the Dean of Students and University Police.

Maintaining updated local addresses is critical to supporting all students in times of need. Having access to this information is especially crucial during emergencies. For example, if there is a hazardous threat at or near a student's off-campus home, the university needs to be able to quickly notify the student and their roommates to ensure everyone's safety and wellbeing.
